Ceramic works from twin sisters Orapin and Oraphan that out standing on natural color of clays. Ceramic is a process of nature that combine earth water air fire and our soul , we will all see things differently and choose to do things differently. Ceramic is reflection of inside ourself even twins- the 2 souls would learn and work differently Ceramic is a self development process, so the exhibition will include some of education and work from people in the community. This exhibition is develop from the same idea of last year exhibition in 2023
About Artist
Orapin Gusolrungrat
She graduated from Silpakorn University, majoring in Ceramics, and has experience in theater, film, and ceramic work. She has also been a teacher at Rungarun School and is now the founder of the "Joh Ma Lo Lue Lah " School, which aims to provide education for underprivileged children of the Karen tribe in the Sob Laan area, Samoeng district, Chiang Mai. Additionally, she has opened a ceramic studio called DIN, focusing on creating products that transmit the values of nature from the forest to urban dwellers, allowing people in the city to experience nature through a variety of unique products with distinct patterns inspired by nature.
Oraphan Lutgenhorst
She started working in film and theater alongside her sister at the Marionet studio. During that time, her interest in spirituality led her to reside in a meditation garden where she discovered a connection with nature, which became a significant turning point. Later on, after separating from her sister, she decided to move to Chiang Mai to start a family. In 2541, she and her husband, Manuel Lutgenhorst, opened their home as a space for art and theater activities called Empty Space Chiangmai, providing a platform for artists and students to engage in various art and theater projects. Subsequently, they collaborated on ceramics intermittently, eventually opening the Empty Space Ceramic Studio in 2550, offering workshops, classes, and community activities related to ceramics.
