As the society begins to recognize that people with neurodiversity communicate in different ways, the “Language of The Soul” – a series of inclusive art exhibitions embracing our differences, continue to showcase the potential of human beings through arts.

Through these exhibitions, “Hope” emerges. It’s the hope that their inner voices will be heard. It’s the hope that we can walk beyond mere awareness into the realm of a dialogue that would bring about change. It’s the hope that one day through these understanding, our society will embrace and respect all neurodivergents and become truly inclusive. 

 

Is this an Exhibition or a Social Activity? 

We might ask ourselves this question as we step into the Artist Performance event.

 

Is it a performance, a collaborative activity, a presentation of artworks, or a demonstration of creating art?... The diverse interpretations are, in fact, the concept that forms the foundation of this exhibition. They delve into intriguing themes, exploring how individuals can infuse their creations with energy, leaving a lasting impression and capturing moments to be shared.

 

In the last three years of “The Language of The Soul” series, our aim has been to showcase a variety of perspectives within the realms of art and educational challenges. Ranging from art exhibitions to innovative projects involving diverse communities, along with film screenings that serve as platforms for performances and events, we have organized workshops, established art markets, all centered around the concept of “building community” that keeps expanding. Art serves as a bridge, offering endless opportunities for artists, companions, and even strangers who engage in these shared spaces. It can indeed spark inspiration or awaken an inner passion.

 

For this special occasion, eight groups of artists and creators have been invited to delve into endless possibilities through various creative processes. In a recent workshop titled “Storytelling through The Lens” led by Tom Potisit. The Head of the HOP Hub of Photography gallery, essential principles were imparted, igniting the photographic endeavors of seven amateur photographers. Throughout this exhibition period, a diverse range of expertise will be shared. Participants can explore crafting products from plastic waste with Piyapa Wichiansarn and Cholochea Nilthamchat from A Thing That is Pieces, engage in miniature sculpting with Pakchanya Uprachaya, and work on stretch silk projects with Petchiapa Chivamongkol. Additionally, workshops on performance and movement will be conducted during the event by Korakot Teerasuwan from the Friend Community, encouraging all to join Eurythmy session to enhance speech and achieve body-mind balance. The Ting Ting: The Rainbow Window team will unveil the world of puppet theater, allowing attendees to rehearse and explore their talents. Simultaneously, the DBK-T21 (Down Syndrome Bangkok – Trisomy 21) team will present inspiring performance that have dazzled audiences on numerous occasions. Lastly, Nilsha Fuengkiat will introduce creative drama, where everyone can transform into both storyteller and actor, exchanging innovative ideas and drawing inspiration from a tale of coexistence.

 

All of this is just a small example of the capabilities and possibilities that transcend all challenges, creating a “community laboratory” for everyone.
