Ramathibodi Foundation hosts “Rama Raksa Silpa: Giving the Gift of Happiness through Art” where the personal art collection of Tachapong Pravesvararat will go under the hammer with proceeds given to the “Ramathibodi Hospital Building and Yothi Medical Innovation District project”
The exhibition is a project for the first time ever organizes a charity art auction titled “Rama Raksa Silpa: Giving the Gift of Happiness through Art” with support from Tachapong Pravesvararat who donates his private art collection that comprises a total of 67 works for the auction. Proceeds will be given to the “Ramathibodi Hospital Building and Yothi Medical Innovation District project” to provide all Thais with better access to quality medical treatments.
The 67 artworks to be put under the hammer are masterpieces from legendary Thai artists including Pichai Nirand, Chalerm Nakiraks, Preecha Taothong, and Inson Wongsam, among other art legends and contemporary artists. These masterpieces will be on display from July 27 to August 5, 2023 prior to the auction to take place on August 6, 2023 from 2 pm to 5 pm at the Main Gallery on the 9th floor of the BACC.
Nonetheless, the stipulation of the auction price will be considered based on the fact that this is a charity instead of a commercial auction and that the event aims to give the gift of happiness where winners will not only get the valuable masterpieces but also be able to be part of a good cause. Moreover, twice the amount of the donation receipt from this auction can be used for a tax deduction.
