Let’s light the fuel for Thai art industry!
People to People exhibits more than 60 contemporary artworks by People’s Gallery artists and we invite you to take part in becoming the owner of the artworks to provide funding for BACC’s activities throughout 2021.
Following the lack of financial support as well as contract extension negotiation previously in March, the BACC had initiated “BACC Fundraising Project 2021” to engage the public in supporting the BACC to continue to serve as an art space in Thailand. In the first activity, “Art in Postcards
”, we have created special postcard sets with 12 artists and the project was very well received.
Presently, even though we have received a positive sign from the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration regarding the extension of the contract for another 10 years, the BACC still needs to raise funding for its operations and activities in 2021. Therefore; this fundraising project still plays a vital role in this year’s continuation of our activities.
“People to People” is organised to allow the audience to choose and acquire different types of contemporary artworks including paintings, sculptures and mixed media artworks from artists who once paved their careers in art at the People’s Gallery. Thus; this exhibition is a collaborative effort to drive Thai art industry forward with artists as people, and the BACC as the ‘People’s Art Centre’.
Take part in acquiring the works that you like at the exhibition or through our online platform at Facebook Fanpage: Bacc หอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร
throughout the exhibition period.
The BACC would like to thank all the artists who participated in this project and all art enthusiasts who have always been supportive. We promise that we will be the centre that commits to driving this industry forward.
