Bangkok Illustration Fair (BKKIF) was held at the multifunctional room on the first floor of Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) between 6 and 7 March 2021. This event provides a platform for international illustrators to learn, share and create opportunity for further development in artistic profession. As one of the “Reviewer” of BKKIF, the BACC would like to share opportunity showing and working with talented artists from BKKIF in The Room of Impulse.

The Room of Impulse is a showcase included 5 artists from the BKKIF; Auracherrybag, Miminini, Mu, PIRA and ธ (tanakorn). The showcase includes over 30 selected artworks, based on creative stylistic, techniques, physical forms and narrative. “Illustration” always has borders and boundaries playing roles in methodology and conceptual interpretation. In terms of perception, composition and aesthetics, what we perceive is underpinned by what such images are “in elements with” something. These blurry differences indicate individuality among creative works where they are not based on descriptions or any other media. Thus, creations in the exhibition are simply extensions that point out the question on definitions which should be investigated in expanded roles of the communication design. The Room of Impulse explores the artists’ identities in their communicative processes in contexts, and impulses with the sensory stimulation to the audiences. In which, the exhibition also shows the notion of self-impetus in artists and paves way for an exciting reinterpretation. Eventually, no matter what kind of media it is, there are no "boundaries" to divide it.
