The Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) and Sunpride Foundation together are hosting SPECTROSYNTHESIS II– Exposure of Tolerance: LGBTQ in Southeast Asia exhibition which will be the largest-ever survey of regional contemporary art that explores lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual and queer creative history in Southeast Asia and beyond. SPECTROSYNTHESIS II is the second stop of Sunpride Foundation’s touring exhibition following the success of its acclaimed SPECTROSYNTHESIS – Asian LGBTQ Issues and Art Now that was presented at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Taipei, Taiwan in 2017.

“Behind the Scenes of LGBTQ” is a conversation that arises from experience, perspective and works related to LGBTQ by artists from many countries such as Vietnam, Philippines, Singapore, Myanmar, Taiwan, Indonesia, Brunei, Hong Kong and Cambodia. The talk will act as an extension that amplifies social context, cultural differences, variety of tastes and gender identities which reflects the complex relationships that are occurring at this time.
