Imagine Peace : To reflect the recent political upheaval in Thailand that causes a major impact in Thai social, economy, and psychology, the Ministry of Culture of Thailand has organizedImagine Peace an art exhibition, titled Imagine Peace. The exhibition presents a collection of newly created artworks from Thai artists in various disciplines and generations. Presented under a concept of healing and peace, the artworks reflect mentalities accomplishing results that yield positive thoughts to the future.
Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, announce the art exhibition “Imagine Peace”displaying art works by over 100 artists such as Thawan Dutchanee, Dr. Sumet Chumsai na Ayutthaya, Naowarat Phongpaiboon, Angkarn Kanyanapong, Prof. Preecha Thaothong, Prof. Kiattisak Chanonnart, Chalemchai Kositpipat, Rirkrit Tiravanija , Kamin Lertchaiprasert, Assoc. Prof. Parinya Tantisuk, etc. Works by these artists are created under the theme of “Imagine Peace,” expressing their hopes in restoring peace and harmony to Thailand.
In addition, Ministry of Culture is also opening creative areas for designing and creating art works to promote peace and unity within the areas affected by the political situation, such as the area around Central World Plaza, Ratchaprasong Intersection, Ploenchit Road, Bonkai, etc. Free design service of landscape, advertisement and shop signs will also be provided for shop and land owners whose property is affected, by artists and the Thai Graphic Designer Association
