Performance Art Concept
When was the last time you trust someone wholeheartedly? Our society is judgmental. It is hard to find anyone in who you can openly tell your story, your rationale, and your feelings?
I started with a question: “if I was given an empty room, what kind of space do I want?” The answer was I want it to be a safe space for everyone who enters. From there I made this space where people can experience trust and safeness. They can feel secured and trust each other even though they are strangers and they never met each other before. Personally I think for people to have human connections between each other is a beautiful thing, a beautiful moment. What is important for me is that I want the audience to use every sense in their body to take up the message. More than just the eyes and the thoughts. I emphasize my work on stimulating all sensation and how the body process that. We are communicating a certain message that audience can know by experiencing our performance.
About The Artist
An artist with numerous works spanning for 10 years, Dujdao has worked both as a performer and a director. Receiving 3 awards - International Association of Theatre Critics Thailand (IATC) which are Best Performance by female Artist 2014 from ‘The Maids’, Best Art Direction of a play 2013 from ‘(In)sensitivity’
Holding a Master degree in Dance Movement Therapy and being the only Dance Movement Therapist in Thailand, Dujdao determines to create Experiential Performance. Experiential Performance replicates certain experience for the audience and only a handful number of artists in Thailand makes this kind of Experiential art.
