Angkarn Kallayanapong devoted his intention for the creation of works in arts and literature depicting his own unique identity that was full of unlimited creativity with the preservation of the root of Thainess. All of his works reflected his great inspiration from the human world’s determination. Meanwhile, his strong expectation towards self-devotion and dedication for arts and literature was also expressed through his pledge to the reincarnation as an poet.
He was most notable for his works in paintings and literature. His mastery in cont? crayon drawings created a unique way of sketching bold, energetic and lively lines as an expression of his strong spirit and remembrance of ancestors. Besides, he also had the distinction in literature with the uniqueness of style reflecting his long life and work experiences and implied philosophical concepts.
The Art Exhibition in Remembrance of Angkarn Kallayanapong’s Poetries and Paintings is held to commemorate recently deceased artist. It is divided into three parts: literature, paintings and co-research to replicate ancient paintings in collaboration with Acharn Fua Hariphithak. The works on display in this exhibition are some parts of all of his past works. In particular, some items have never been displayed before such as a collection of fountain-pen-handwriting poems and replicated works of Ayutthaya-Style painting manuscripts of Traibhumikatha Buddhist Cosmology, etc. The Art Exhibition is opened daily except Mondays and public holidays from 29 March – 30 April 2013, 10.00-21.00 hours, 4th Floor of Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC).
