Concept Context Contestation- art and the collective in Southeast Asia YANGON version, known as CCC YANGON, is a collaboration of the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) and the Goethe-Institut, Myanmar. The exhibition will bring Southeast Asian contemporary art to the public in Myanmar.

After opening in Bangkok in 2013, CCC, traveled to regional centres Hanoi, in 2015, and Yogyakarta, in 2016. In January 2019, CCC YANGON features many of the original CCC Bangkok pieces, in addition to some 25 extra works, many of which are new commissions, and over ten newly-included artists, five of whom are Myanmar practitioners.

On 20 January, Goethe-Institut Yangon will host a one-day public symposium focusing on Southeast Asian visual practice and CCC discourses of art relating to collective concerns in Southeast Asia.
